Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Olaya & Co. These Terms & Conditions outline what to expect when you book and visit us, so that your experience, and ours, stays as considered as everything else we do. By booking an appointment with us, you agree to the terms below.

Interior of the Olaya & Co. salon in Byron Bay, with manicure tables, product shelves and pedicure chairs

1. Booking & Consultations

  • Appointments can be booked online or by phone.
  • For new clients, or services involving significant colour change, extensions, or bridal work, we recommend booking a consultation first so we can tailor your service and timing accurately.
  • No deposit is required to secure a booking. We ask that you treat your appointment time with the same care we do. See our cancellation policy below.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments (no-shows), will be charged 100% of the scheduled service cost.
  • We understand that plans change and genuine emergencies happen. Please get in touch as soon as you can and we'll always do our best to work with you.

3. Running Late

  • Your appointment time is reserved just for you, and running late may affect the time we have available to complete your service.
  • If you're running behind, please call or message us as early as possible.
  • Depending on how late you arrive, we may need to adjust, shorten, or reschedule your service, and our standard cancellation policy may apply if we're unable to accommodate you.

4. Payment

  • Payment is due in full at the time of service unless otherwise agreed with us in writing.
  • We accept card payments and other methods as advised in-studio.
  • All prices are listed in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST, and may change from time to time without notice.
  • If you have any concern about a charge, please reach out to us directly first so we can sort it out. We're always happy to talk it through.

5. Gift Vouchers

  • Gift vouchers can be purchased for any treatment or for a set dollar amount, and make a considered gift.
  • Vouchers must be presented (digitally or physically) at the time of your appointment and redeemed against services. They can't be exchanged for cash.
  • Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
  • Vouchers remain valid for 3 years from the date of purchase; we're not able to extend or refund an expired voucher outside of what the law requires.
  • Lost or stolen vouchers can't be replaced, so please treat them as you would cash.

6. Patch Test

  • For certain colour and lash/brow tint services, a patch test may be required at least 48 hours prior to your appointment, particularly for new clients or if it has been some time since your last visit. This is for your safety and comfort.

7. Health & Wellbeing

  • Please let us know at the time of booking, or on arrival, of any allergies, sensitivities, pregnancy, medical conditions, or previous reactions to hair, nail, or beauty products, so we can take the right precautions.
  • We reserve the right to decline or modify a service where we believe it isn't safe to proceed.

8. Photography

  • We may take photos of our work during your visit for our portfolio, social media, or marketing. Please let us know if you'd prefer not to be included, and we'll respect that.

9. Our Commitment

  • Olaya & Co. is proud to work with considered, low-toxicity, and sustainable product partners. If you ever have questions about what we use on you, just ask. We're always happy to talk through it.
